[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]In this article we are going to explain some necessary tips for cleaning a Jacuzzi<\/a> or a Spa, without having to resort to a technician. All of them are necessary for the proper functioning of the jacuzzi, to obtain a greater durability of the product and thus increase user satisfaction.<\/p>\n

Cleaning the Spa Filter<\/h2>\n

First of all we must take spa filter out to clean it<\/strong>\u00a0and keep it completely dry until the next bathing season. If the filter has ended its life cycle it is best to throw it away and take advantage of the start of the season to replace it with a new filter.<\/p>\n

Emptying a Spa<\/h2>\n

Many of our customers who have\u00a0bought a spa in the spring or summer<\/strong> ask us what advice we give for the maintenance of the spa during the winter<\/strong>. The answer is based on how each person wants to use their\u00a0hot tub during the coldest months of the year<\/strong>. Below we will detail the three most common situations and our advice for each case.<\/p>\n

1. If the\u00a0spa is installed in a second residence<\/strong>\u00a0that is not going to be\u00a0used in the winter<\/strong> or you are sure it is not going to be used in the coldest months of the year the best thing to do to is to\u00a0empty the spa<\/strong>. For this, the first thing we must do is disconnect the circuit breaker and\u00a0open the spa drain<\/strong>\u00a0letting the water pour out onto the ground. Another alternative if you do not want the water to pour out onto the ground for any reason – In\u00a0Jacuzzis located indoors or recessed<\/strong> the best solution is to\u00a0connect a hose to the spa’s drain or use a bilge pump<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The steps to follow for\u00a0emptying the spa\u00a0<\/strong>using the drain are as follows:<\/p>\n

After-Summer Spa Care<\/h2>\n

Another tip for\u00a0having the spa in perfect conditions<\/b>\u00a0at the start of the bathing season is\u00a0to clean the inside of the spa well<\/b>\u00a0with a damp cloth. If the\u00a0inside of the spa the acrylic<\/b>\u00a0has a rough line to the touch coinciding with the waterline, this is lime. In this case it is necessary to apply a gentle product but with some anti-scale product – a mild bath cleaner for example. Also, we must not forget\u00a0to remove the filter<\/b>. It will be wet, so it should never be left in its compartment! We must keep it in the open to dry perfectly.
\n2. Another possibility is that of\u00a0sporadically using spa during the winter<\/b>. Maybe one or two days a week. Therefore, the best thing to do is\u00a0to keep the spa water in a perfect condition<\/b>, with its corresponding filtering periods, but not using electricity in vain to maintain the temperature of the\u00a0spa water<\/b>. In this case our spas have a \u201cSleep\u201d mode. This allows for the spa to carry out the necessary filtering cycles<\/b>, but with a temperature of 10 \u00b0C less than the temperature we are allowed to enter in the control panel. In other words the control panel lets us lower the spa’s degrees to 26 \u00b0C, because in the\u00a0sleep mode<\/b>, the spa water will always remain at 16 \u00b0C and the resistance will not work unless the water temperature falls below 16 \u00b0C. This will also prevent the risk of\u00a0the spa\u2019s internal pipes freezing<\/b>. When we plan a weekend when we want\u00a0enjoy our spa<\/b> we just have to bear in mind that the temperature will rise by 2 \u00b0C per hour in an\u00a0outdoor hot tub<\/b> and by around 4 \u00b0C per hour if the spa is installed indoors. Therefore, if we want to use it on a Saturday morning, on Friday night we should change our spa from \u201csleep\u201d to \u201cstandard\u201d mode and enter 34 \u00b0C. It will then be ready to enjoy!
\n3. One last\u00a0use of the spa in the winter<\/b>\u00a0is the regular use of it throughout the year. More and more customers tell us that once they have become accustomed to the benefits provided by the\u00a0use of their hot tub<\/b> they are not willing to give them up in the coldest months of the year. In fact, the biggest\u00a0benefits for our health<\/b> are obtained with the cold-hot temperature contrasts. That is why if this use is going to be during the coldest months of the year and also the spa is installed in a town in the mountains, the most expensive aspect will be maintaining the water temperature. In this case Aquagrup advises its customers to ask for a spa with the optional \u201cEco Spa\u201d<\/b>.
